Unlike IGCSE or A-Level Chemistry, chemistry in Key Stage 3 is not taught as a stand-alone subject, but is instead taught as part of the Lower Secondary Science.

In 2021/22, the Cambridge Lower Secondary Science (1113) syllabus, was replaced by the Lower Secondary Science (0893) syllabus. The resources on this document was designed for the older (1113) syllabus, so there are certain contents in the current syllabus that are not covered in the older (1113) syllabus and vice versa.
